The predefined project in scope of healthy lifestyle of children and adolescents
Estimated total budget: 5 000 000 EURO
The beneficiary of the project will be the Department of Investment Evaluation of the Ministry of Health, while the Norwegian partner will be the Norwegian Cancer Society and Health Care Centre in Verdal Muncipality in the Trondelag Region.
The project will consist of 3 modules:
Module 1 - healthy nutrition and physical activity
Activities under this component will consist of the development and implementation of a training program in the field of shaping healthy habits in kindergartens and nurseries (cooking workshops, sports activities, family picnics, etc.). Promotional and educational materials on healthy lifestyles will also be developed. Trainings and courses for carers (parents, carers in nurseries and kindergartens, sports trainers) will be implemented. To fully implement this component the purchase of small equipment is planned.
Module 2 - substance abuse
A key activity under this component will be conducting a nationwide campaign aimed at combating tobacco abuse. Research will also be carried out to determine the reasons for teenagers and youth in Poland to use tobacco.
Module 3 - mental health
The activities under this component will consist of conducting trainings for school employees, parents and guardians regarding the mental health problems of youth. Information materials on methods of seeking help for children and adolescents with disorders will be developed, as well as a website on mental health including e-learning courses, training materials for teachers and carers and information materials for young people is planned.
The “Health” Program conference organized as part of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021
On 20 October 2021, the conference inaugurating the “Health” Program took place. The Program is carried out as part of the NFM 2014–2021 and its purpose is to reduce social inequalities in terms of health through the implementation of activities related to telemedicine and e-health policy, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle among children and the youth, taking into account psychiatric care. The program is financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021 and from state budget. The conference was attended by Sławomir Gadomski, Deputy Minister of Health, and Anders H. Edie, the Ambassador of Norway in Poland.
